ALEbtong, Uganda – The Member of Parliament for Moroto County, Hon. Leo Elem, has announced that his constituents will soon receive two brand new ambulances to boost healthcare service delivery in the district.

Speaking to our reporter, Hon. Elem revealed that the vehicles, which are currently being branded after completing all clearance processes with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), are expected to arrive in Alebtong district anytime next week.
The MP clarified that while he represents Moroto County, the ambulances will serve the entire Alebtong district, emphasizing a unified approach to service delivery.
"This is a program for the people. The ambulances will not serve Moroto County alone; they are for the entire Alebtong district," Elem stated.
Hon. Elem also noted that the current period has been dedicated to induction following his recent mandate. However, he stated that the real work begins in January.
"For now we have been in induction, but from January, I am going to start my work of legislation and ground work," he said. "I have a specific program for education, and next week, I will ring the two ambulances for the people of Alebtong."
The arrival of the emergency vehicles is expected to ease transportation challenges for patients in the district, particularly in emergencies requiring urgent referral to larger health facilities.
