Lira, Uganda – July 14, 2026 – There was a festive atmosphere at Amach Health Centre IV today as the Lira Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Ms. Lillian Eyal, paid a courtesy visit to assess operations and show appreciation for the staff’s dedication.
Ms. Eyal expressed amusement and satisfaction with the work being done at the facility, commending the team for maintaining a beautiful and well-organized environment under the leadership of In-Charge, Dr. Isaac Orec . In a gesture of gratitude for their efforts, the RDC donated a live goat to the health facility staff.

The visit coincided with a technical support supervision exercise led by the Lira District Health Officer (DHO), Dr. Patrick Buchan Ocen. He was joined by the Amach Town Clerk, Sylvia Akot, who also engaged with the health workers during the supervision .
The celebration was further bolstered by a contribution from the Mayor of Amach Town Council, Patrick Olobo. He added to the staff appreciation by presenting them with several bunches of matooke (green bananas) from his award-winning farm, complementing the RDC’s donation .
