The borehole, which serves over 250 people, was repaired thanks to the efforts of Dr. Eunice Apio Otuku, the oyam North members of Parliament
Speaking on behalf of Dr. Eunice Apio Otuku, the Uganda People's Congress chairperson of Acaba sub-county, Solo Owani, said that Dr. Apio decided to use her own funds to repair the borehole after hearing the community's cries for help from drinking contaminated water, leading to various diseases.
In his conclusion, Owani called upon the community to form a water source committee to collect money and maintain the borehole.
Tom Olir, a veteran UPC supporter from Acabasub-county, praised Dr. Apio for her efforts, saying that she has shown that UPC is committed to supporting the community.
The LC1 chairperson of Agwedola village, George Angulu, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Apio for her support, but also highlighted the ongoing challenges in the area, including poor road conditions that hinder access to clean water
James Otim Akon one person among representative of Dr. Apio in Acaba sub county urged the community to protect the borehole, emphasizing the rarity of politicians who prioritize their community's needs.
In their comment, due to water scarcity in their area , women of Agwedola said they had been forced to drink contaminated water, leading to various diseases like diarrhoea, candida, and typhoid
In their conclusion, they praised Dr. Apio for her kindness and pledged their support for her in the 2026 general elections.
