Amolatar – After months of anticipation, Morris Ogwal Omara has been officially sworn in as the substantive Chairperson of the Local Council Five (LC5) for Amolatar District.
The ceremony took place on today at the district council hall, with the proceedings presided over by His Worship Joe Fat Adoko, the Lira Chief Magistrate.
Ogwal Omara took the oath of allegiance, the oath of office, and the oath of judicial execution at exactly 4:27 PM, pledging to uphold the Constitution of Uganda and to serve the people of Amolatar without bias or fear.
The function was attended by district councilors, clan leaders, security officials, and dozens of residents who broke into cheers immediately after the magistrate declared him duly sworn in.
