AMOLATAR, Uganda – The Office of the District Chairperson, Amolatar, has officially announced a District Service Delivery Baraza scheduled for Friday, 4th September 2026, at the District Headquarters Garden, marking the culmination of weeks of grassroots engagements across all Sub-Counties.
The Baraza, which follows the conclusion of Sub-County engagements on Thursday, 3rd September 2026, is designed to bring together a cross-section of stakeholders to share feedback, discuss service delivery challenges, identify bottlenecks, and agree on practical solutions to move Amolatar District forward.
In a notice issued to the public, the District Chairperson's office emphasized that the engagement will serve as a platform for collective dialogue, ensuring that the voices of all community members are heard and incorporated into the district's development agenda.
"YOUR VOICE MATTERS," the notice read. "Come and share your feedback, raise concerns, give constructive contributions and propose practical solutions in areas that can improve service delivery and contribute to the development of Amolatar District."
The Baraza will bring together an impressive array of participants, including:
· The General Public – the primary beneficiaries of district services
· All Members of Parliament representing Amolatar
· All Members of Council and the District Executive Committee (DEC)
· All LC3 Chairpersons and their executive committees
· Religious leaders from the level of Reverends, Heads of Parishes, and above
· Cultural leaders from the level of Rwot to Awitong
· Fishing Management Committees – key stakeholders in the district's fisheries sector
· Heads of Government Institutions, Headteachers, PTA, and SMC Chairpersons from all schools
· Security agencies including the RDC, DISO, DPC, RSA, 155 Marine Leadership, and Officer in Charge of Prisons
· Health sector leaders including In-Charges of all health facilities, Amai Board representatives, and Management Unit leadership
· Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) , Chairpersons of farmers' cooperatives, independent opinion leaders, and the media
The notice concluded with a rallying call for unity and collective action: "One Voice. One Amolatar. Together, We Can Move Our District Forward."
The District Service Delivery Baraza is part of a broader government initiative aimed at enhancing accountability, transparency, and citizen participation in local governance. By convening such a wide range of stakeholders, Amolatar District seeks to bridge the gap between service providers and the communities they serve, ensuring that development resources are effectively utilized and that the needs of the people are prioritized.
