Lira,Uganda – In a bold move to bolster the country's healthcare system, the Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery has announced it is still accepting applications for the August intake, accompanied by a significant number of scholarships aimed at nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
Speaking at the institution’s campus, the Director, Dr. Isaac Orec, outlined the school’s ambitious vision to mold students into what he calls the "good heroes of tomorrow."
"We are not just admitting students; we are recruiting the future saviors of our communities," Dr. Orec stated. "The healthcare sector needs dedicated individuals who are willing to serve with compassion and skill. At Victoria, we are committed to turning these applicants into quality and respectful health workers who will uplift the standards of medical care in Uganda."
Dr. Orec emphasized the institution's rigorous training programs, which are designed to produce graduates that are not only clinically competent but also ethically grounded. He expressed confidence that the current batch of students would go on to provide exceptional health services to the people of Uganda and contribute to the global healthcare workforce.
To ensure that financial barriers do not hinder talent, the school is offering a variety of scholarship opportunities for the upcoming intake. Parents and guardians were urged to view the institution as a reliable partner in their children's future.
"Parents should trust us with their children," Dr. Orec added. "We give the best education, ensuring that when they leave our halls, they are ready to serve with integrity and excellence. We are looking for those who are ready to answer the call to heal."
