Museveni Is a Good Driver of Uganda’ – RDC Olili at Kole Patriotism Pass-Out

Kole North

A total of 2,409 students from secondary schools in Kole North have successfully completed a one-week patriotism training program aimed at instilling national values, discipline, and leadership skills among the youth.

Of these, 1,819 students were passed out at Aculbanya Secondary School, which hosted students from six institutions: Aculbanya SS, Braaky High School, St. Mary’s Aboke Girls, St. Joseph Aboke Seminary, Ayer Seed SS, and Aboke High School.

The colorful pass-out ceremony was presided over by Colonel David Opeero, the Deputy Commander of the Fifth Division Command, who commended the students for their dedication. He urged the newly graduated patriots to prioritize education, apply the knowledge gained during the training, and uphold discipline in all areas of life.

“You must remain focused on your education and practice the good values you’ve acquired here. Always be disciplined and respect elders—this is the true spirit of patriotism,” said Col. Opeero.

Major Francis Balmoi Abang, the Fifth Infantry Political Commissar who led the training, said students were exposed to a variety of activities including parades, traditional dances, physical fitness, mindset change, and leadership skills.

He noted that the program is designed to build a morally upright and nationalistic generation capable of contributing positively to Uganda’s future.

Kole District RDC Joseph Omara Olili thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for launching and supporting the patriotism initiative.

“The president is a good driver of this country. Because of this program, we have seen a reduction in strikes and unrest in Kole schools,” said Omara Olili.

Mark Ocoo, the Kole District Patriotism Coordinator, extended appreciation to all stakeholders, schools, and community members who have supported the patriotism agenda.

The event was marked by colorful displays of dance, parades, and presentations by students showcasing what they had learned during the week-long training.
