Kasolo Courts Lango NRM Delegates with Promises of Change, SACCO Support
I Will Vote Eddy Morrish Ogweng For MP Lira City West 2026-2031

Lango, Uganda – State Minister for Microfinance, Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, has appealed to NRM delegates in the Lango sub-region to elect him as the Central Executive Committee (CEC) representative for the Central Region, vowing to bring positive change and strengthen party structures.

Speaking during a mobilization meeting, Kasolo emphasized the need for NRM district chairpersons to be included in district and sub-county councils to enhance oversight of government programs. He argued that such inclusion would improve service delivery and accountability.

Kasolo also pledged to establish Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) for NRM leaders at the parish level, ensuring they directly benefit from government funds. "When NRM leaders have access to SACCOs, they will be financially empowered to serve the party better," he said.

The minister urged delegates to vote only for leaders loyal to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, warning against electing critics who could undermine the party. "We must support leaders who stand with the President, not those who may later censure him," Kasolo stated, reaffirming his unwavering loyalty to Museveni.

Out of the six candidates vying for the CEC vice chairperson position for the Central Region, Kasolo declared himself the best mobilizer, citing his close ties with grassroots supporters.

Linda Agness Auma, who introduced Kasolo to the Lango delegates, called for the election of a leader committed to development. The delegates, visibly impressed by his manifesto, pledged their support, promising to vote for him in the upcoming NRM delegates’ conference at the end of the month.

With strong backing from Lango and a clear agenda, Kasolo’s bid for the CEC seat gains momentum as he positions himself as a champion for party reforms and grassroots empowerment.
