Agali Sub County April 26, 2025 - The people of Alyet Parish,Gomi parish and Okile parish in Agali Sub County gave a rousing welcome to their representative, Hon. Linda Agness Auma, as she fulfilled her campaign promise by distributing over 3,000 high-quality sauce pans to constituents.
The event, held at Olil Primary School in Alyet Parish, saw an overwhelming turnout as residents expressed gratitude for the MP’s dedication to improving their livelihoods. Each sauce pan, valued at UGX 22,000, is expected to ease household cooking challenges, with the total distribution worth UGX 66 million.
In her address, Hon. Auma reassured the people of Lango of her unwavering loyalty, stating, “I will never betray Lango. My heart and my work remain with the people who entrusted me with their voices in Parliament."
She took a swipe at opposition critics, noting that while some had doubted her ability to fulfill her pledges, her actions now speak louder than words.
“Some people thought they could use my sauce pan promise against me, but today, we are here delivering them. Now, they have nothing left to say,"Auma declared to cheers from the crowd. She vowed to continue advocating for the socio-economic development of Lira District, ensuring that the concerns of her constituents are heard at the national level.
The beneficiaries, mostly women and local leaders, praised the MP for her consistency in service. “This is not just about sauce pans; it’s about knowing that our leader listens and cares,"said one resident.
As Hon. Auma left the venue, the message was clear: her commitment to Lango remains unshaken, and her work is far from over.
