Kole, 21 April 2025 – Akech Loy Dorothy, a prominent figure eyeing the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket for Kole District Woman Member of Parliament, has demonstrated her commitment to the party by donating ten chairs to the NRM office in Kole.
The donation, made on Monday, came as Dorothy officially declared her political ambitions, promising to unite residents and champion development in the district. She emphasized her dedication to ensuring that government programs reach every citizen, particularly the most vulnerable.
“His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has shown care for all Ugandans. My mission is to ensure that even the last man and woman in Kole benefit from government initiatives," Dorothy stated.
Expressing confidence in her ability to secure victory, she cautioned the NRM leadership against fielding a weak candidate, warning that failure to grant her the party flag could cost the ruling party the seat.
“If NRM doesn’t give me the flag, we risk losing this election to opponents. I am the strong candidate who can deliver victory and development,"she asserted.
Dorothy outlined key areas of focus, including improving education standards, poverty eradication, better road networks, enhanced healthcare, and ensuring locals access government programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM).
Her pledge to transform Kole has already begun resonating with supporters, who praised her proactive approach. The donation of chairs to the NRM office symbolizes her readiness to strengthen party structures ahead of the elections.
As the race heats up, all eyes remain on whether the NRM will endorse Dorothy as its flagbearer, with many in Kole eagerly awaiting her next moves.
