MARUZI NORTH, UGANDA – In a significant boost to education in the constituency, the Office of the Area Member of Parliament for Maruzi North, Hon. Bernard Otim Odoc, has donated mathematical sets to 782 Primary Seven candidates ahead of the 2026 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
The donation, which took place on Monday, 26 October 2026, benefited candidates from 22 government primary schools across the constituency. The mathematical sets were handed directly to the candidates in their respective classrooms, ensuring that each pupil received the essential scholastic material needed for the upcoming national exams.
The timely gesture is aimed at supporting the candidates' examination preparations and easing the financial burden on parents and guardians. It also seeks to ensure that no candidate is disadvantaged due to a lack of basic examination tools.
Headteachers and pupils across the constituency expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the thoughtful initiative. They noted that the support would significantly boost the candidates’ morale and confidence as they prepare for their final primary school examinations.
Addressing the candidates, Hon. Bernard Otim congratulated them on completing seven years of primary education and encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and confident as they approach this important milestone in their academic journey.
He also urged parents and guardians to play a supportive role by providing nutritious meals, adequate time for revision, and sufficient rest to help the candidates prepare effectively for the examinations.
The 2026 Primary Leaving Examinations are scheduled to take place on 3rd and 4th November at designated examination centres across the country.
