Kampala,Uganda— The third edition of the Twende Zetu Butiama pilgrimage is set to reach Bondo today, Sunday, to honor the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and his son, the late Raila Odinga.
The pilgrimage, which started on October 1, 2026, from Tanzania, has been in Uganda for nearly a week. During their stay, participants visited the burial site of the late Dr. Apollo Milton Obote and later toured Murchison Falls National Park.
Today, the safari is set to leave for Bondo in Kenya to honor the late Raila Odinga and his late father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
The entire initiative is the result of efforts by Dr. Ronex Tendo Kisembo, CEO of the Africa Mashariki Fest. A dialogue session will be held in Bondo, Siaya County, bringing together participants to reflect on the legacy of the two leaders and the enduring dream of East African unity.
