Gulu City, March 25, 2025– In a major push for clean energy adoption, the Ugandan government today distributed 2,000 free gas cylinders to Gulu City residents at STARBEX Fuel Station.The initiative aims to reduce reliance on charcoal and firewood, promoting healthier living and environmental conservation.
Gulu City Mayor Alfred Okwonga urged citizens to embrace the program, saying, “This is a transformative step toward cleaner, safer, and more sustainable energy. Let’s protect our health and environment by switching to gas."
Residents are encouraged to collect their cylinders promptly.
