President Museveni Hosts Former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Hails Youth Engagement with NRM Ideals

Entebbe, Uganda – April 25, 2025

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday’s evening hosted former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Entebbe, during a courtesy visit on the sidelines of the Guild Leaders’ Summit taking place at Makerere University.

President Museveni expressed satisfaction with the direction the summit has taken, especially in aligning with the core principles long championed by the National Resistance Movement (NRM): Patriotism, Pan-Africanism, Socio-economic Transformation, and Democracy.

“I was pleased to hear that these students are keen on what the NRM has been preaching,” President Museveni remarked. “These four principles are crucial for their prosperity and for the future of our continent.”

Mr. Kenyatta, who is in Uganda to attend the summit, met with the President to share views on youth leadership, regional cooperation, and the importance of nurturing visionary student leaders across East Africa.

President Museveni welcomed the initiative by the Guild Leadership Academy and confirmed that he would meet with its members in the near future for deeper engagement.

The Guild Leaders’ Summit is an annual gathering that brings together student leaders from across Uganda and the region, fostering dialogue on governance, innovation, and development.
