AMOLATAR – The Chairperson of Amolatar District, Morish Ogwal Omara, has issued a firm warning against corruption in the recruitment of district workers, declaring that no member of the District Service Commission should demand money from job seekers during his tenure.
Ogwal made the remarks on Friday during a thanksgiving ceremony held at Adwala Primary School in Awelo Sub-county, Amolatar District.
Speaking before a gathering that included politicians from various parties, civil servants, and community members, Ogwal laid down a clear directive:
“Within the five years that I will serve as LC5 Chairperson of Amolatar, no single member of the District Service Commission should ask for money from those applying for jobs at the district,” he warned.
He further called upon the civil servants of Amolatar to fully support his vision for developing the district, urging them to work with all their efforts to improve service delivery and uplift the lives of the local population.
“You must work with all your efforts. I cannot develop Amolatar alone—it requires all of us, especially the technical team, to be committed and honest,” Ogwal said.
The ceremony, which was both a celebration of his leadership and a call for unity, attracted a cross-section of political figures from different parties. Many of them took turns advising the people of Amolatar to reject divisive politics and instead focus on unity for the betterment of the district.

One after another, speakers emphasized that political differences should not stand in the way of development, urging residents to rally behind initiatives aimed at improving education, health, and infrastructure.
The event concluded on a note of optimism, with attendees pledging to work together and hold their leaders accountable—starting with the Chairperson’s promise of corruption-free recruitment.
