President Museveni Meets Saudi Ambassador to Bolster Uganda–Saudi Arabia Relations

NAKASERO, KAMPALA – April 8, 2025

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday hosted His Excellency Mohammed Bin Khalil Faroudah, the Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uganda, at Nakasero State Lodge.


During the cordial meeting, the two leaders held wide-ranging discussions aimed at deepening the long-standing bilateral relations between Uganda and Saudi Arabia. They explored avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, energy, education, and regional stability.


President Museveni expressed Uganda’s appreciation for the Kingdom’s continued partnership and support, particularly in key development sectors. He emphasized the need for further collaboration in boosting Uganda’s export potential and attracting Saudi investment in agro-processing, infrastructure, and the oil and gas sector.


Ambassador Faroudah reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Uganda, commending the country’s progress in peace, stability, and economic development.


The visit marks yet another milestone in the growing friendship between Uganda and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, setting the stage for future engagements and cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
